Louisiana Department of Transportation Selects TurfCentric’s SmartShop System Baton Rouge, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation has selected TurfCentric’s SmartShop technology for initial implementation at their headquarters facility in Baton Rouge. TurfCentric will implement its SmartShop technology for DOTD vehicle and equipment assets at their Baton Rouge facility to automate their maintenance operation. TurfCentric will also provide DOTD with data warehousing/mining tools to interrogate, model, and forecast collected information in order to facilitate knowledge-based asset and maintenance management. The 1st phase Baton Rouge deliverable is valued at about $300,000 with phase 2 and 3 deliverables valued at $670,000 each (statewide rollout). Louisiana DOTD maintains over 6,000 vehicle and equipment assets valued at $562 million. “We developed SmartShop to automate the equipment maintenance process for our GCS™ golf and turf customers. In doing so, we realized any fleet operator would benefit from the technology. It’s gratifying to see our investment reach new markets.
